Brenda’s journey in life was marked by hard work and dedication. After graduating from Barnard and Frederick High School, Brenda contributed to the family farm by working hard alongside her father. Later, Brenda worked as a dedicated school bus driver for Frederick for many years. Her commitment to hard work led her to the American News until its closure, after which she found fulfillment at Banner until her final days.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Brenda found joy in many various hobbies. She found solace in fishing, camping, and listening to George Strait. Brenda’s greatest happiness in life came from spending time with her family, especially her great-nieces and great-nephews. Brenda’s love for her family was evident in her unwavering support at their sporting events and her genuine delight in their company.
Grateful for having shared Brenda's life are her mother, Joyce Emery; sister, Pat (Rick) Niva; brother, Eugene (Doreen) Emery; nieces and nephews: Jamie Bourdon, Jarred Bourdon, Ethan (Alexi) Emery, Tyneill Emery, and Evan Emery; great-nieces and great-nephews: Paisley and Beckett Bruckner, and Lola and Rafe Emery.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister Paula; beloved partner, Warren Hokana; and her father Darrell Emery.
